Normally I am the grinch of Halloween if it was me I would skip it all together and start the christmas festivities early. However I have to say having kids makes it much more fun and exciting and is making me a little less Grinchy!!! This year my girls dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2 they looked pretty dang cute I think.

This summer we have been trying to keep busy while David is working out of town. We spent a day at roaring springs water park. We all had a blast!!

Weekend in Utah with Dave

We were able to spend a few days with David last week in Utah and we also go to watch his lineman rodeo. We had lots of fun seeing family and just hanging out.

Here is a fact that I read about Identical twins, I don't know if it is true but it makes sense to me and I thought it was interesting!

Fact: When Identical twins have babies they are genetically half siblings rather than cousins and if Identical twins marry identical twins then genetically the kids would be full siblings rather than cousins.

My day started out wonderful. The girls woke up happy, then went and played together in there room for a long time without fighting, pulling hair, or crying which lately is a big deal!!

Then disaster began, the vacuum broke so I took it all apart fixed it all by myself and was pretty proud, my daughters were helping me fix it and stuck a pen inside that I left out (my bad). So I started the vacuum and the pen exploded and the ink came shooting out the bottom of the vacuum resulting in my carpet being painted a beautiful blue color. So for the past hour and a half these products have been my best friend. Now all I need is for one of you to help me explain this to my sweet husband!!

PS. Does this month seem like it is never going to end or is it just me?

Christmas week 2010

Christmas this year was wondereful, my parents, michelle and grandma came down. We had so much fun. It was real sad to say good bye.

We went to Denver and kenzi loved the horses and she can say horse now really well. She would laugh and get all excited when she saw one walking down the street it was so cute.

David and Michelle could not resist.

Kenzi was attached to Grandma the whole time she was here, when she got up this morning she looked for her and could not find her we were both pretty sad.

Rylee was not to sure of grandpa for a while but by the end they were good buddies.

Thanksgiving week

David and I decided to stay home for Thanksgiving this year, I was a little bummed because all my family was going to be together and all of his family was going to be together and I have not been home for a Thanksgiving in 3 years. In the mean time of me feeling bummed my brother Kevin decided they were going to come see us for the week, and made it all better!!!
It was so much fun, here is David with baby Trey. My new adorable nephew.

I took them to the Olympic training center. The elevation here is 6200 Ft so it is a great place for athletes to train.

We started the day off with jumping in the leaves.

Then we made sugar cookies. YUMMY!

The girls loved eating the dough and feeling like they were big kids!

I was coming home from the grocery store the other day when the neighbor guy says to me "do you stay home all day", I say yes I do, and he says "what do you do all day". Some of you women can imagine the look I gave him!! I know he was not trying to be rude, however being a sensitive women I got a little defensive. I replied to him that I crawl around on my hands and knees all day chasing kids around, singing nursery rhymes and picking up pots and pans 16 times a day after my girls empty them out of the cupboard. Now I know that I am not the only stay at home mom that has ever felt like maybe you could be doing more or wish you could help out more financially, but I also know that our sacrifices will pay off.

I found this quote from a friend's blog and i fell in love with it.

It is easy for us to get caught up in the world and to forget about what really is important in our lives.I remember when I was young asking my mom why her shoe had a hole in it. she said because my 5 kids need shoes for basketball so my new shoes can wait. My parents always put us kids first and taught me good lessons. I hope that I am half the mom my mom is to me.

I have been replaced!! This is David's new baby he is either messing around with it, watching hunting videos or trying to talk me into hunting with him, he has even offered to get me a pink bow. Don't get me wrong I am no Obama lover but I could never shoot an animal. I am sure if I would allow it the bow would sleep with us at night. I am glad my husband has found a new hobby however I can't pretend anymore that I think it is the coolest thing ever (no matter how attractive he looks doing it), I am going to have his brother take over that role for me!

Memorial weekend we went to the hot air balloon festival. As you can kind of see there was thousands and thousands of people the girls and I were loving it however my husband not so much I failed to mention to him before we went that they were predicting 100,000 people and that we could watch it on T.V. needless to say I got in a little trouble, OOPS!!

Our neighbor gave David and I tickets to the Rockies game and our good friends offered to watch our girls for us so we could go childless. It was a blast we were only 9 rows from the outfield so the tickets were great.

And the most important happening,the girls are finally walking. YAY!! People keep telling me how busy I am going to be but to be honest I am loving this new stage, it's lots of fun!!

Dave and I have been married three years today. I knew as soon as I met him that there was something different about him. It only took us a month to fall in love and a year later we got married!!! It has been a fun crazy three years, so far we have moved from Idaho falls to Boise then across the country to North Carolina and now in Colorado, and somewhere in all the moves we had twins. And after all this we love each other more than ever!!!

Trip home

In July I made a trip home so I could see my friend get married and to see the family. Luckily I was able to see all of them. However traveling with two sick teething babies and no David was not an easy thing, but I am still alive!

Our first stop was to Brad and Julia's we stayed at there house for the night in Utah then went and stayed with Kevin and suzi for the next two nights. The girls are taking a ride with cousins stirfry and Jackson (by the way they just found out they are going to have a little sister). YAY!!! We need more girls!

After Idaho falls we went and stayed with Greg and kitty for the night in Twin Falls. Growing up Kitty was my second mom so I have missed staying with them, it has been way to long!

We stayed with kevin and Suzi again, this is 3 days before she had baby Trey. I just missed him and it is killing me not being able to meet the little guy!

My best friend Amanda came over and saw us. Miss her!

And finally after six stops it was time to go back home!

PS. Remember the last post when I said we need a puppy I lied, because last night after giving the girls a bath both babies went the opposite direction before i could get diapers on them, and of course peed on the floor. So i decided the pet store is good enough!

David has had the last two days off from work so we have had a fun couple of days! The girls love it when there dad is home. I know every body says this but he really is the best dad.
The first day we went to the water park down town the girls actually really liked it they would walk right up and touch it. ( Made me a proud mamma no sissy's in this house!!!!)

Then yesterday we went to the zoo but I left the camera in the car. It was a really fun Zoo, they let you feed and pet the giraffes. Here are a couple pictures of the girls after the Zoo in there new outfits that of course there dad had to get for them!

I love the summertime, yesterday we had a huge hail storm. The hail was the biggest I have ever seen. I guess here in Colorado Springs the hail can get a lot bigger than this even.

This is the last post about the leg YAY for you all!!! David just got a call from the doctor and said that he missed his achilles tendon. Which is great news because earlier today surgey and weeks out of work were a good possibility. Now he is able to start putting pressure on it. Lets just say power of the priesthood is real!!!

The latest news on David's leg is that we didn't find out much! We went to two different places found out that it was for sure torn but not all the way and he is done working for a while. He goes back to the doctor next Tuesday to find out how bad it is torn and if he will have to have surgery. I wish you could go one time to one place and get one answer, so until that does happen I will keep you that are interested posted. Other than that he is doing great and not in to much pain. I also figured out a couple ways to get him to be extra nice to me by hiding his crutches and threatening to park far away!!!!

David had a little accident today, while he was climbing a pole at school he fell a couple feet and caught himself with one foot which was good but the other foot (hook) stabbed through his pants and boot then through his ankle. Below is a hook that he climbs with ( the one that went through his ankle). He didn't think it was bad so he kept working. The instructor made him go get it checked out and it turns out it's worse than he thought. He got his Achilles tendon, not sure how bad it is yet we will find out tomorrow and also find out how long he will be off work for. I always have known that David's job is dangerous, but i just try not to think about it, today however it hit me just how dangerous his job Really is and I had a little "moment"!! He is always making watch videos of lineman and telling stories and I just shrug it off and tell myself that will never happen. I am just thankful that it wasn't worse and that he is able to come home to me!! I love him!!!

This is there new favorite toy, they don't know how to push the button to make it go yet but they love to make mom push it for them. We went up and down the hall a hundred times yesterday, they would scream if I stopped.

We love these little girls so much. We have truly been blessed this past year having them in our lives. They are such happy and fun little girls.

I am loving this new stage of life. They are a little more independent and becoming so fun. I loved the baby stage but this stage is even better. They follow me around the house like mother goose Rylee is not as fast of a crawler as Kenzi so she is always behind. the poor girl gets so frustrated, she usually will roll on her back and scream for me to come pick her up. I can not believe that they are almost 1 it is scary and kind of sad to think of how fast they are growing up.

Just a couple weeks ago I could not wait for the girls to start crawling, what was I thinking! They are little busy bodies, getting into everything.
They are not afraid of the vacuum, instead when i turn it on they can not leave it alone.

I end up folding the laundry 2,3,4 times.

I Can't be doing dishes without my little helpers!!!

They do not care who is in there way they will plow right over you if your in there way.

I had the best week ever, My mom, sister and Grandma we call her "great" all came to Colorado Springs to visit. We had tons of fun, we were out and about everyday which is just what I needed.

My sister is amazing we have so much fun together, we pretty much spend most of the time laughing together. Growing up we were never really close she is nine years older than me and I was the annoying younger sister. Now we are the best of friends, I miss her!

Mom, Michelle, Uncle Don, and Cuz DJ. In a random castle that a guy and his dad have been building for years. They are anti government and refuse to pay taxes on it. They have funny signs up all around the place. When the IRS come they come out with shot guns.

Great and David, David is picking my 85 year old grandma up he is the only person that can get away with this. He also slaps her butt and tells her that she still has it!!

We spent one day in Denver, it is only 1 hour from us.

I never had the twins tested to see if they were identical the first ultra sound lady said they were then the other two said they could be or could not be because they are in separate sacs but I only had one placenta so that means it can be either. I know really confusing but I have decided that when people ask me I am going to say they are identical, mainly because I am tired of giving the whole spill that pretty much I have just bored you all with. Any ways if they are identical which means they come from the same egg and it splits means that they also have the same DNA. Which is crazy because they are the same but yet they are so different. I have posted a video of them below that will show just how really different they are personality wise, however keep in mind that kenzi on the left is teething so she is not as smiley as normal.

Here are some differences that I have seen

Kenzi was the bigger one when she was born when I say bigger she was still a small baby weighing five pounds. But Kenzi seems to be the leader of the two and take on the big sister role. She has done everything before Rylee from rolling over, to sitting up, to now crawling, and saying mama dada babab etc. Rylee on the other hand watches her sister and usually anywhere from a couple weeks to a month will start to do the same things. However we were really excited because Rylee finally got to be first at something and that was getting her first tooth. and about 3 weeks later (now) Kenzi has been getting her first tooth. Kenzi really has had a hard time with it she has had a cold, fever, now the runs really bad, sorry if that is a little tmi for some of you! Rylee had no problems with teething so far (knock on wood). Kenzi is much more calm and really usually a happy baby she also can be a flirt. Rylee on the other hand I like to refer to her as my little fire cracker she is the clown, loves attention and has a lot of energy but also can have a little more attitude than her sister . Also eating wise Kenzi is a great eater she will eat just about anything that I give to her, Rylee on the other hand is very picky and stubborn about eating (much like her dad). She loves bananas but refuses to touch them for some reason, I am guessing the mushy texture but who knows. Over all I can say that I love having twins, it is so fun to watch them interact and see the difference in personalities.

I Found this project on another blog and I think it turned out really good. The best part is that was cheap and I am all about that! All you do is print any pictures you want on tissue paper then glue iton canvas with Mod Podge . It looks just as good as a printed picture on canvas but much cheaper.

Almost Ten months

It is hard to imagine that the twins where ever this small, when the were born they weighed 3 and 5 lbs. We finally got them to the doctor today, she said they are doing great which is always nice for a mommy to hear!! They are growing and doing what they should be for there age.

I am back to the world of blogging. The last year has been crazy for our little family. Since my girls have been born we have lived in three different states. When David finished his schooling we were desperate to find a job, ( we went from being a double income no kid family to a double kids no income family) so we decided that David would take the first job that came up which turned out to be in North Carolina. David left right away and went out to work. A month later the girls and I went out to join him. The East coast is a lot different than the West, we learned quickly, however it was beautiful there. We were able to take a couple trips to the ocean one being Myrtle beach it was a blast. We lived in a furnished apartment that was one bedroom not fun considering we had two babies, but we made it work. A month later David got a call from the Union for a job in Colorado springs, we decided to jump on it and we put what we had in the back of David's truck and drove across the country to Colorado. We are grateful that David got this job, it pays well and so far he has stayed busy.

David has a lot of faith and I know that it is because of him that he is working, when we were desperate looking for a job David was talking to one of his buddies who was going to a interview for a job so David told him that he would pray for him. As soon as David got off the phone he went in the other room and prayed that is buddy would get the job that he was applying for. The next day the same guy called David and told him that he had a job offer and was not going to take it and gave them David's information. Within the next week David had a job. It amazes me how the Lord works. We have been so blessed!

As for the girls they are doing great, they are always happy and make us laugh everyday, they are 9 months old. Growing and developing perfectly. They are not crawling yet which I am perfectly okay with. I am in big trouble once they start moving I can tell already!!

8 Weeks old

Time is going so fast the girls are 8 weeks old today. They are doing really good. They have started to smile and are happy little girls. Most people think they are still small when they first see them but to us they are getting to be little chuncks!!!!! David and I are doing great and loving this new adventure. David's school is going great and he has a lot of fun climbing, he had an interview last week that he thought went pretty well but he hasn't heard anything yet so we are praying hard cause it's the job that he has wanted for a long time. For me I am just busy being a mom it keeps me going non stop, but the other day my wonderful mom watched the girls while my dad, david and I went golfing and I shot my best score ever (3 over par for those of you that know or care about golf!).

Kenzington Dawn and Riley Ann Perez! They were born April 30th, Kenzie weighing in at 5 lbs 7 oz and Riley was a whopping 3lbs 14oz. They were born 3 minutes apart. They are doing great. Stephanie and David are doing so great, having fun being new parents. They should be home from the hospital tomorrow. We can't wait to see them!

Well here I am at eight months along. The babies are still pretty small for where they should be. We just had an ultra sound and found out that Kenzington weighs 5lbs and Rylee only weighs 3lbs. They are monitoring them really close to make sure that they are okay. But so far all is well and we are just trying to keep them inside for as long as possible so they can be strong. Other than that David and I are doing great he starts Lineman school May 4th and is getting excited for that.

Well here is a little update in what is going on in our lives. Of course getting ready for the babies. I am a little over 7 months now, I feel great and the babies are doing wonderful. They are right were they should be for twins which is two weeks behind a singleton baby which is really good.

David recently got laid off from his job so our plans have somewhat changed. We were planning on moving to Boise so he could Start his lineman school, right after the babies were born. Well now we are moving on the 28th of this month. I feel way better about this because I have been stressed about moving and having babies at the same time. So now I feel that i can move and get things ready before they come, (you moms know howthe whole nesting thing goes). We are sad to leave our family and friends but, I know that this is going to be much easier on Momma and babies to get settled in.

The other day I was doing a little packing and there was this country song that came on the radio I think its called "Your gonna miss this". It talkes about getting married and moving into your first apartment, and how your gonna miss it, then it goes into having babies etc. Well my pregnancy hormones got a hold of me and I was crying like a baby. I finally stopped and then David came home and I told him, so of course he started singing it to me and I started crying again. I really am so excited to be starting our family but it is hitting me that it will never be just me and dave again. I have been the happiest in my life being married to him, He makes me laugh all the time and takes care of me. I love him so much.

So for those of you that don't know I work with kids everyday they say the funniest things which makes my job fun!! Well the other day we got a new little three year old and she kept looking at me funny so finally I asked her what the problem was and she said " Um miss Stephanie do you eat to much candy as she was pointing at my belly" I laughed so hard then I went on to tell her that I have two babies in there and she couldn't understand how they got there so I finally just said yes, I ate to much candy!!!! Then another kid wont believe me that I have babies inside of me because he can't here them crying. I love kids for these reasons. Only twelve more weeks at the most until we add two more to our family!!!

Boys Or Girls?

Yesterday we had a doctors appointment and the nurse came in and said congrats your having Boys. We were shocked once again!! The paper work from the lab said we are having boys but when we got our ultra sound it said that we are having girls. The nurse said that it could just be a typo lets hope so or else our boys are going to look pretty cute in pink dresses!! I have another ultra sound on Tuesday so I will find out what exactly happened and let you all know!!! Hopefully there is no more shocking news !! But the babies are doing great and so am I. I am getting big really fast though. Like a month ago you could hardly tell I was pregnant now you can definitely tell. I will post pictures soon.

David and I found out the sex of our baby yesterday, we also found out that there was more than one Yes we are having identical twin baby girls!!!! Neither of us had any idea and I am half way done with my pregnancy, so you can imagine the shock we were in. We are so excited we both know it will be more of a challenge than we were expecting but we also know that it will be a fun rewarding challenge. I am very lucky because I have never seen a man that is more gentle and good with babies than my husband and I know that he is going to be the best dad ever. Everything seems to be good from what the nurse could tell us but we will meet with the doctor in few days to find out more details on the health of the babies. As for me I couldn't be feeling better so I have been really blessed!!

Nope these aren't David's Socks!!! This is how I told him he was going to be a daddy!! We are so excited we just found out a few weeks ago!! So far everything is great, I feel good, just sleepy and if you were to ask David he would probably say I can be a little mean, but I just tell him pregnancy is a free grouch pass for the next nine months!!!!!

We told my mom parents by giving them a baby outfit that says "Everything is better at Grandma's". They were surprised but real excited. My mom already bought a outfit for a little girl because after having 6 grandsons she is ready for a girl. But David's family has mostly girls so they could use another boy. I will be happy with either. (Oh and some of you wanted to see me with my short hair here it is.)

It was time for Dave and I to take a trip this was our first vacation we have taken together. We went to the Oregon coast for a week with my parents and my sister. David had never seen the Ocean before so I was really excited because it is my favorite place in the world my family has been going there sense I was a baby. This was my favorite trip ever though because my best friend was with me this time!!!! David loved the Ocean as well. For any of you that know my mom she is the best person to travel with because she gets so excited about everything and hates sitting around so we stayed extremely busy all the time, wether it was walking the beaches, crabbing, or my favorite EATING!!!!!!

So Julie set this up for me like 2 months ago and I am finally working on it. That explains me!!!! I am so excited that it is finally warm I hate the cold. David and I bought golf passes and went three times last week it is the best sport ever. I am trying to teach Dave how to golf and he is actually not doing to bad, it is fun just spending time together. We both stay pretty busy with work it can get pretty stressful at times but thats life right.
